One Money Saving Challenge you can take this week is to have a no buy day.
Getting a quick win and realizing that it’s possible to leave your house for a day and not spend money is a great first step.
You get a new point of view. And since it is only a day, you see a little spark of how you can probably wait til tomorrow to get that thing.
A no buy day is a day with no money transactions. No spend. Not buying lil treats. No snacks you didn’t bring. No purchasing a drink.
Just you, yourself, and what you brought from home with you.
There are a few ways to be prepared for a day of no spending.
Switch it up. Leftovers. Sandwiches. Peanut butter & Jelly Week.
Buy beans, grind beans. Heat water, pour water. You got this.
Coffee smells better when you make it at home with love.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. In that order. Bring your water with you. It’s better.
Depending on your level of frugality, snag a snack will look different. You can snag a snack bar from a box of bars, like Rx or Luna Bars, or you can roll your own bakeless bites.

We’d like you to believe you can just do it tomorrow even without a plan, but we understand the question.
Planning a no buy day for after a holiday is pretty easy if you have any leftovers.
It can be challenging if holiday shopping is a trigger for you, but still an effective slot for a no buy day.
It’s pretty easy to overspend during the holidays. Starting saving after the holidays with a no buy day, even if it’s your first!
Do your coworkers over indulge on payday? Pay day is a great day to eat super cheap so you are starting the week off with some extra.
Mondays seem to be stressful and I find it easy to answer the call for a lil treat after my first big day of the week.
Going for a No Spend Day most weeks on a Monday can set you up for a succesful week. You’ll already have accomplished something good for yourself.
Saturdays can get spendy. Whether you’re going to an event or blowing off steam, just the buzz in town can get you going. Doing a season ov No Buy Days Every Saturday can show you some alternatives to spending money on the week’s free spirited day!
Liek the National Guard. You can make a real impact buy doing No Buy Days one weekend per month and 2 weeks per year. Choose your weeks wisely or pick randomly.
I’ll schedule my full weeks of No Buy Days in the months I get 3 paychecks.

Choose 3 Days Each Month to do no buy days. That will give you 36 days out of the year. Roughly 10%. That’s so good! Same as doing a month, really!
One month can seem overwhelming but going for 3 days per month can feel curious and fun!
