Damn, that sounds boring. “Shopify Conversion rate statistics”? Ew.
How the heck am I supposed to make Shopify’s conversation rate statistics interesting?
I could do magic.
That could be interesting.
But magic is just little tricks of the hand anyway. Like sales psychology. A trick of the mind. It’s not even a trick really. Unless you’re selling duds. But I mean, just don’t sell duds. Okay?
Sell stuff that works and sales psychology is more like art than magic.
Email has a better conversion rate than social. Social is more about corroboration than sales. A lot of times we’re just selling jokes though. At least if you turn off the politics. Just go ahead and mute it for a while. Try it out. Try muting politics and learning how to tell a joke.
See? I could come up with hundreds of things to try rather than doing the same old all the time.
The point —>>
Email generates the most conversions for a Shopify store.
So the point of social is to get people to your website and the point of your website is to get people to your email. And the point of your email is to get people to your thing-a-ma-bob via story.
It’s confusing. And simple. Depends how you look at it.
I read this on Drip’s Blog about Shopify Statistics.
Email has the best Shopify conversion rate, then search, then direct, then social. It means that if 10,000 people visit your Shopify store from social, it is likely that 181 of them will make a purchase. The same amount of people that get an email from you about your store will have 429 glorious humansmaking a purchase.
So let’s say you’re selling something for $27. It’s $4,887 verses $11,583.
It’s pretty substantial, babes. So the point of social is to get someone to your website & the point of your website is to get them to your email. Want to skip the website part on social and get them directly onto your email list? Purrfect. Do it. It’s called a Lead Magnet. Gawd, I hate that term.
It’s just so gross. And magnets usually suck. Ya know? Lol. Like how many magnets have you seen in your life, and how many of them were worth a damn? I’ve seen thousands, and only interacted with a few that were extra-ordinary.
So the point of social is to go direct to your website or to email. Not all the time, but when you’re doing the business.
The goal of search is to answer the search query and their next question, too.
The Container Store called it “Man in the Desert Selling”.
The idea that —>> if a man were to walk up to your camp in the desert, obviously thirsty, sun damaged, and asking for water. But you have food, shade, nutrients, and a nice place to rest — offering him JUST water is not doing your best. You have more to give, and he needs more than the only thing he asked for.
People don’t really ask for what they need. Society tells us we’re not supposed to need help from humans. But gratitude is the celebration that humans do help humans because they want to.
It’s basically Burning Man, without the sales part. People build an entire city in the desert for a few weeks just to get a taste of this social mentality of “what else besides water can I offer you”?
Community.
Have you met my blog template?
My blog template helps you turn your search-friendly idea into something that helps build community. It’s one of the four directions humans are pulled in to act. We act for logic, method, social interaction, or self-expression. That’s it. Using a blog template shrouded in sales psychology will help you on your quest to beat the average shopify store conversion rate.
You can email me at daisy@dobedo.io and I’ll give it to you for free and point you towards the explanations so you can understand how to use it to write blogs (and emails.) It’s magical. But not really. Just the art of sales psychology.
People are simple & fascinating creatures.
Here’s another blog about how to improve your shopify seo.
