I love blogging in the summer because you can really get ahead. People are outside enjoying their days. Soaking up sun, hitting the beach, swimming in creeks or pools and not really reading blogs. It’s okay. Winter will come back again. And when the nights are long, reading blogs will be in season again.
Just keep going. SEO takes time. Get started. Write another blog and hit publish.
One strategy for SEO is to go for longtail keywords. Another is to write content clusters.
People like to consume multiple pieces of content in groups of similar subjects.
and then they’re gone. Onto the next subject.
I definitely binge-watch content. I survey the content landscape in my subject matter of curiosity and I find the voice I like to hear. Then I binge it all.
There will be a big main post that connects all the main ideas into one high-level overview blog. And then a series of posts that go into each part of the blog with more detail.
Let’s say you’re writing a Content Cluster about Cheese.
This blog post is all about the fascinating history of cheese in America.
You can do these sections:
Then you could do Individual blogs
They all point back to the Cheesiest post.
Creating a content cluster is helpful to the reader. We love a limited series on Netflix. Bingeable is a real word. Make content that we can eat up. Small little bits lead to bigger bits or very long and in-depth blogs that lead to easier-to-consume content on more specific topics.
You got this. Write a little cluster of blogs that go together, even if no one is reading them right now. SEO takes time. Writea little bundle of blogs that help explain what you need your people to know to help them.
