When I first decided to get into e-commerce, I purchased thousands of stickers in my niche. I thought I’d use these stickers to learn SEO for blogging.

Pretty soon, I was bored of writing seo-packed product descriptions for stickers.

I ended up just putting a few options of stickers on my larger-than-sticker ecommerce site.

Fast forward a few seasons and my site starts ranking for the keyword the most accurately describes the thousands of stickers in my niche.

Today, I’m using this as a “tactic” experiment.

Instead of selling just the stickers, I’m going to do an SEO experiment. I will add this two-word keyword to my guarantee. “Free _________ Sticker with purchase.

This gives me a way to write this “sneaky keyword” on many, or ALL of my product pages. There are two variations of this sneaky keyword. As of August 25, 2023, I rank 17th on the plural and 85th on the singular. I will add the singular version to my guarantee, which is posted on every product page. About 100 product pages. I thin this will really help my SEO on product pages, plus give me a chance to use SEO for blogging later when I do another gift guide.

Let’s see if we can solidify a top ten spot with this update.

SEO for blogging Sneaky Keyword Experiment

For starters, today we added “________ sticker” into our guarantee on 14 products.

Not sure if we’ll add it to all products, we started with a product category that brings in a few people each month. The sticker is broadly related to our target niche, but not specifically related to the product type.

SEO updates on Monday night at midnight EST, as far as I can tell. So I do a little SEO for blogging on Sundays as a habit, and some little projects throughout the week.

One of my target keywords is now listed 14 more times than usual. We will see if it updates Monday night. I’ll leave the info below.
